I'm sure the hardware is fine and it's just another Creative driver adventure. Switching from 5.1 to 2.1 and back to 5.1 fixes it sometimes. Wires are hooked up right but I swear it's switching channels on me, on the fly. *Issues I'm having are surround sound does not work properly. #DOWNLOAD DRIVER CREATIVE SB LIVE SERIES WDM INSTALL#I think Windows 10 keeps installing a tainted driver each time it sees my SBZ, before i get the chance to install a proper one. I am going to try cleaning it all out and turning off my internet, and trying the new driver again. It exhibits the same issues with either driver. Restarted system and installed the driver release from 2016 (SBZ_CD_L13_1_01_08). On my new rig, I tried the latest Creative driver (011), it had issues*, so I uninstalled it. I want to say both my old and new rigs are running the same Windows 10 build version. I was using the latest driver (from Creative) on my old rig, and it was fine. I have been having nothing but trouble with it in my new build. Click to expand.I wonder if that's what Windows is doing to my Soundblaster Z. ![]()
